Hi,
I can't access the BIOS on my PC HP EliteBook 850 G1, because the first time that I got it, is password-protected. And then I didn't know that it was password-protected. So now I can't access the BIOS, because I get a screen saying: "Login User ID : BIOS Administrator Enter Password Audible alerts: DISABLED Press F5 to enable". If I type an incorrect password, I get: "Login User ID : BIOS Administrator Enter Password Again". After entering 2 times an incorrect password, I get a screen saying: " On-Screen Keyboard". After entering another time an incorrect password, I get another screen saying: "Authentication Failed System locked Press the power button to restart the system". I tried using some possible BIOS Password Reset tools, but they didn't work. A video that I'm seeing here: [content removed], he/she didn't explain step-by-step on how to do it.
I also tried some password combinations but they didn't work.
And also as I know, I don't know why I don't get an halt code after entering 3 times an incorrect password. And another strange thing, I gives me 4 attempts instead of 3 to enter the correct password, which after entering 3 times an incorrect password, it gives me another attempt to emter the correct password by displaying the: "On-Screen Keyboard" screen.
Before contacting HP or bringing my PC to a PC assistance, can anyone tell me I there are any other ways to reset BIOS Password on my HP EliteBook 850 G1.
Also I'm Italian from Italy and I may don't comprend the replies that you'll write me to this post, but first, I'll try to translate with something like Google Translate, then if I don't comprend it l, I'll reply.
Can anyone tell me what do I do now? Because, I need to change some settings in the BIOS.
Thanks
