Product: Elitebook 8470p
So I have owned this HP 8470p for maybe 2 years. It belonged to my brother but due to a mixup, I got his, where the BIOS does not work. How am I able to fix this?
I am a Linux user but the laptop itself has no operating system, nor is one able to be successfully installed. It freezes randomly and is unusable, it's also not within warranty but I am more/less knowledgable enough (and willing) to fix it myself. Nothing I have found elsewhere works, but the laptop is needed.

It has been fixed through a BIOS update
