Weird.. uninstalling the ASmedia USB Host Controller Driver worked for me on multiple occasions - we have a fleet of Elite x2's at my work and a few have the BSOD problem which was immediately solved by uninstalling ASmedia USB Host Controller Driver only. Didn't uninstall/upgrade anything else.

There is a new version of ASMedia eXtensible Host Controller (xHCI) Driver (1.16.43.1 Rev.A), that hopefully might fix something. Maybe worth trying.

Thunderbolt 3 Dock DisplayPort (DP) Hub Firmware Update (3.10.005 Rev.A) is also new.

I tried the suggestion from Zakeis and it is working thus far. I will give it a day or two and then give everyone an update.

I am pretty sure that it was an update that caused the problem for me as it was working fine when I first set up the laptop. I then had some sudden issues and I did some delete/re-install of the two suspect pieces (ASMedia driver and Thunderbolt Software) and seemed to be fine for a while then an update canned me yet again.
