Bad Battery

Is there an aftermarket battery that would last longer than the original HP battery that came in my new laptop? My battery would only hold charge for half the advertised time between charges brand new and after one month, 6 battery cycles, the laptop will shutdown by itself when it gets to about 60% charge or about 2hrs use without warning. My laptop is now 3 months old and basically unusable. i really don't want to buy another defective battery and was hoping someone here could point me to a better product that would make my laptop usable again.

On a 3 month old HP laptop the battery is under warranty, get it replaced.

That’s actually what I am trying to do and it is under factory warranty. I am just curious if there is a better option as far as  quality? I have contacted HP about this several times but have not been able to get any helpful responses at all after 3 months and needing the laptop for work I am thinking about just taking it to a shop and having the work done.
