Hello
I recently changed the battery of my HP Omen 15, which I purchased 4 years ago. When I ran the HP support assistant, it showed to calibrate the battery. I followed the steps, but it again shows that the battery required calibration,
After that, I performed many different ways such as
using UEFI method
using extensive memory error until the loop method
the method from HP support assistance
but still, hp support assistant shows calibration is needed. I am not sure what is the problem. can someone help me with this.??

Hi @harshal98,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already tried several methods to calibrate the battery of your HP Omen 15, but you're still encountering issues. Here are a few additional steps you can try.
- Reset BIOS Settings: Sometimes resetting BIOS settings to default can resolve hardware-related issues. You can enter BIOS setup during startup (usually by pressing F10 or Esc key) and look for an option to reset to default settings.
- Update BIOS: Make sure your BIOS is up to date. HP releases BIOS updates periodically to fix bugs and improve system stability. You can download the latest BIOS version from the HP support website and follow the instructions to update it.
- Battery Driver Update: Ensure that your battery drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to Device Manager, locating the battery category, right-clicking on your battery, and selecting "Update driver."
- Perform a Full Discharge and Recharge: Sometimes, fully discharging the battery and then recharging it to 100% can help recalibrate the battery. You can do this by unplugging your laptop and using it until it automatically shuts down due to low battery. Then plug it in and let it charge to 100% without interruption.
By trying these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue with battery calibration on your HP Omen 15.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello Alden
Thank you for your reply. I will try the steps you mention. I also want to report one more problem regarding the CMOS. when starting, it says CMOS is invalid with the error code 502. can this affect my battery calibration?

Hi @harshal98,
Thank you for your response,
The CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) error code 502 typically indicates a CMOS checksum error. This error usually occurs when there is a discrepancy between the CMOS values and the values stored in the BIOS. It could be due to a variety of reasons such as a weak CMOS battery, incorrect BIOS settings, or hardware issues.
Regarding your question about battery calibration, while a CMOS error may not directly affect battery calibration, it's important to address any underlying issues with your laptop. A CMOS error could potentially be indicative of broader hardware or system issues that may impact overall performance and functionality, including battery management.
To address the CMOS error and ensure proper functionality of your laptop, you may want to consider the following steps.
- Replace CMOS battery: If the CMOS battery is weak or dead, it can lead to CMOS errors. Try replacing the CMOS battery with a new one and see if the issue persists.
- Reset BIOS settings: Sometimes incorrect BIOS settings can cause CMOS errors. You can try resetting the BIOS settings to default values and see if it resolves the issue.
- Update BIOS: Ensure that your BIOS is up to date. Sometimes BIOS updates contain fixes for various issues, including CMOS errors.
- Check for hardware issues: If the problem persists after trying the above steps, it could be indicative of underlying hardware issues.
While addressing the CMOS error may not directly impact battery calibration, ensuring that your laptop is functioning properly overall will help maintain its performance and longevity.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Battery calibration issues can occur on various devices, including smartphones, laptops, and other portable electronics. If you're experiencing battery calibration problems, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. **Complete Discharge and Recharge**: Sometimes, the battery's calibration can improve by fully discharging the battery until the device shuts down, then fully recharging it without interruption. Repeat this process a couple of times to see if it helps.
2. **Reset Device**: Try resetting your device to its factory settings. This can sometimes resolve software-related issues that could be affecting battery calibration.
3. **Update Software**: Ensure that your device's operating system and any relevant apps are up-to-date. Software updates may include fixes for battery-related issues.
4. **Check for Battery Health**: Use diagnostic tools or apps provided by your device's manufacturer to check the health of your battery. If the battery is degraded or faulty, it may need to be replaced.
5. **Calibration App**: Some devices may have calibration apps or features built into their operating systems. Check if your device has any such options available and follow the instructions provided.
6. **Recalibration Utility**: In some cases, third-party calibration utilities or apps may help recalibrate the battery. However, be cautious when using third-party software and ensure it comes from a reputable source.
7. **Hardware Inspection**: If the issue persists after trying software-related solutions, there may be a hardware problem with the battery or charging circuitry. In this case, it's best to contact the manufacturer or seek professional assistance for repairs.
8. **Battery Replacement**: If your device's battery is old or damaged beyond repair, consider replacing it with a new one. Make sure to use a genuine battery compatible with your device to avoid further issues.
9. **Contact Manufacturer Support**: If you've tried all troubleshooting steps and are still experiencing battery calibration issues, contact the manufacturer's support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional guidance or arrange for service if needed.
It's essential to handle your device and its battery with care to maximize their lifespan and performance. Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures, overcharging, or discharging it excessively, as these factors can affect battery health and calibration over time. zakbags.com/products/petit-sac-plat-small-flat-shoulder-bag-louis-vuitton

Today, I had another issue with my laptop. I am using my laptop on battery (no AC plugged in). Then it went into sleep mode, where my screen was black and the power light was blinking. Then, when I tried to wake up my laptop, it just crashed and shut down. When I again pressed the power button, the fan started, and then I heard a chucking sound from the laptop, and it again turned off. I tried multiple times, but it always turned off. Then I just plugged in the AC adapter, and the laptop started. When I check the battery it shows 86%. I am not sure what is happening with my laptop. is it an issue with the motherboard or CMOS or the battery itself.
