I can not get my laptop to display the battery time remaining. When I enter the Bios and select system configuration there is no option called "Battery Time Remaining"  can anybody help me? Thx Mark

Thx for the note. The steps you provided didnt work because the battery life file in the registry was turned off. I cant explain it technically.  I went into the registry and turned it on, rebooted and it appeared. Really appreciate your advise as it would normally solve the problem. Cheers Mark

Hello.

 

Windows 11 Taskbar only shows the remaining battery power in percentage, not in hours/minutes. There is not something that BIOS controls, it is a user interface design decision made by Microsoft.

 

You should be able to see the remaining time in Windows 11 Settings -> System -> Power & Battery.

 

There are instructions on how to get the battery time remaining information back at some websites. I haven't tried so may or may not work. If they work for you, please report back here as well, thank you.
