As my subject says it all. I am facing this battery issue since the last 2 months. Whenever I keep my laptop shutdown for more than or upto 24 hours. Have tried all the Power Options troubleshooting that this forum recommends including stopping of rapid start-up , battery health check-up etc.

Can somebody help?

Hi,
I had similar problems - solved the overnight drain by updating the BIOS through the onboard HP Support Assistant

Hi Fozman1,

My laptop is 3 years old and therefore I don't think so that I have The Onboard HP Support Assistant anymore. Can you help me with how to update the BIOS by any other simpler way?? Thanks.

Hi Pravz,

OK, no problem with that, so you'll need to do a bit of searching, but the place to start is here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers Once you've logged in (same credentials as you used to access this forum), there's a button where you can get HP to analyse your system to track through necessary updates or you can type in the serial number of your computer, it's then a case of downloading & installing the drivers that are shown (when I did it it was a reasonably automatic process)
Hope this helps
Cheers

Hey Fozman1,

I have updated my BIOS to F.40 dated 09-11-2020. Thanks again.

Now I have another query that: Should I download and update all the Drivers that are showing on the above link that you sent??
