Hello.

https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/ish_5180936-5180983-16

Changing the default setting to Maximize My Battery Health causes the following:

  • This setting results in a reduced run time between charges, because it limits the charging capacity of the notebook’s battery to 80% of the currently available full charge capacity.

  • You will continue to see the battery charge at 100% in the Windows icon tray, with 100% representing the new, adjusted full charge capacity.

You can always check the setting and battery status and capacity with HP Power Manager. If you don't have it installed, download and install it from this link.

Hi Jupitero thanks for reply but.

if it works how it write to me that the remaining capacity is 33881

my actual capacity is 34462

and the design capacity of my laptop (hp probook 445 g8) is 45030

If the maximize my battery health Works properly the remaining capacity should stop charge at 27569 yes?

Please answer me and thanks ❤️🙏

If the battery limit setting isn’t working on your HP ProBook 445 G8, check if the BIOS is up to date and if Battery Care Function is enabled in the BIOS settings. Some HP models require HP Power Manager for battery limit control. Have you tried adjusting it through HP's BIOS or software?

HP Recommended

Yes i install the last bios version (HP T78 Ver. 01.20.00, (1/13/2025)

And also I put the power management in bios on maximize my battery health

And I use hp power manager app and put it on maximize my battery health

What should I do now?

Because the

remaining capacity is 33869

my actual capacity is 34462

and the design capacity of my laptop (hp probook 445 g8) is 45030

The remaining capacity should not be higher than 27,095 or stop charge at 27,095

Please help me 🙏❤️
