Zbook G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, does anyone know if there's any chance to get disabled or turn off the single "beeep" that the Zbook does when, just after the power on, you hit the key F9 in order to quickly access to the bios-boot-menu? To be clear... it's not a beep alert for any on going issue.. it's a beep related to the accessing to the boot menu multiple choices. I would really love to turn it off but I did not find any setting relevant to it from the Bios. Thank you, regards, Diego

Hello @delavega79

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Community.

  • Enter the BIOS (F10) and go to "Advanced" tab
  • Go to and select Boot Options
  • Scroll down and uncheck "Audio Alerts During Boot"
  • Make sure you hit the "Save" button
  • Return to "Main" tab and choose "Save changes and Exit"

This will disable the retro beep sound you refer it 🙂
