OK.

Are there any devices listed in the device manager in need of drivers such as an Unknown device?

If so that is probably the Intel Bluetooth adapter in need of a driver.

Neither HP nor Intel have the W10 drivers for the Intel 7260 Bluetooth adapter any more but you can use this driver from the Dell website which will work fine as some of their PCs use the same model Wi-Fi adapter.

Intel 8260/7265/3165/7260 Bluetooth Driver | Driver Details | Dell US

If there are no devices in the device manager needing drivers, then what probably happened was that the notebook originally came with W7 and was upgraded to W10 and during the upgrade the Intel Bluetooth was turned off using the HP connection manager software which is not supported in W10.

So the Bluetooth remains off unless you reinstall W7, install the HP connection manager turn on the Bluetooth, uninstall the connection manger, confirm the Bluetooth is still on and reinstall W10.

The other way to turn on the Bluetooth without having to reinstall W7 would be to do this:

Make a bootable USB Ubuntu installer.

Download Ubuntu desktop from the link below:

Get Ubuntu | Download | Ubuntu

Here's a tutorial on how to make the file bootable with Rufus.

Create a bootable USB stick with Rufus on Windows | Ubuntu

Boot from the Ubuntu installer and select the option to 'try Ubuntu without installing.'

Turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu.

After you do that, exit Ubuntu, shut down the PC, remove the Ubuntu flash drive, restart the PC and when you get back into Windows, the Bluetooth will be working or will at least show up as an unknown device needing the driver which you can then install.

Hi:

Yes, the Bluetooth radio is on the same circuit board as the Wi-Fi radio.

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your notebook come with?

Intel Dual-Band Wireless-N 7260

OMG!!!
Thank you so much, you saved me with this solution.
It was really a problem with the driver on HP.
I downloaded the driver from Dell, and it works smoothly.
