Need help figuring out the problem for my laptop.  The camera will not work.  Showing black.  Have tried shutting off, there is no cover on the camera.  There is a white light indicating the camera is on.

Let's start with the basics: What is your laptop model? Has the camera ever worked?

 

Try upgrading or downgrading your camera driver first. If there are no related errors in Windows Device Manager it may be that your camera module is broken.
