Hi,
I am facing a problem during starting my laptop. I can not Turn ON my laptop on battery. I always need to attach the charger to the laptop (connecting with an electric source) for turning my laptop ON. Whenever I start my laptop, I get a "CMOS checksum invalid (502)" error. Although I restored my BIOS by following the exact procedure available on HP Customer Support (HP Notebook PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Customer Support). But all in vain. I am still unable to start my laptop on battery and every time I start my laptop, I get a CMOS checksum invalid error (502).
Do you know what is the reason for it and how I can fix it except BIOS restoring? Does my laptop has any CMOS battery that I need to replace? How can I repair this CMOS checksum invalid error?
