Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My webcam suddenly stopped working. When I open the Camera Windows app I get the 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached> error code. This laptop does not come with a camera shutter, killswitch or Function key to toggle the camera on/off. I ran through all the troubleshooting steps without solving the problem. I can't see the camera in the Device Manager, even after unhiding hidden devices. I tried restarting my laptop in BIOS mode but can't find an option for Integrated Camera settings from the menu. It's as if the built-in camera has been completely wiped from my computer and the system has no recollection of it ever having existed.

I recommend first pressing F2 repeatedly at startup to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, then running the Webcam test.

If the test fails, or if the Webcam test option is completely missing, it usually indicates that the system is unable to detect the camera hardware. In that case, the issue is more likely related to the webcam module, cable connection, or another hardware component, and further inspection at an HP Authorized Service Center is recommended.
