Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A2AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased HP Victus 15 in 2023 and warranty covered till 2026 june and my camera is not working properly. It shows the camera is not detected and connected and I check the driver to update the camera but the camera is not in the driver.

Hi @ramkiran,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Camera Settings:

  • Open the Windows settings and navigate to the "Privacy" section.
  • Select "Camera" and ensure that camera access is enabled for your device and apps.

Device Manager Check:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Look under "Imaging devices" for your camera. If it is not listed, it might not be connected properly or may have a hardware issue.
  • If the camera is listed, but with a yellow exclamation mark, right-click on it, and select "Update driver" or "Enable device."

Install or Update Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and enter your product details to find the appropriate drivers for your camera.
  • Download and install the latest driver for the camera if available.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that any physical switches or function keys that enable/disable the camera on your laptop are set to "Enable."
  • If your laptop has a camera privacy shutter, make sure it is open.

Windows Updates:

  • Run Windows Update to ensure your system has the latest updates and security patches, which may include camera driver updates.

Perform System Diagnostics:

  • Run HP's built-in diagnostic tool by searching for "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows" in the Start menu.
  • This can help identify any hardware issues with the camera.

Check for BIOS Settings:

  • Sometimes, the camera can be disabled in the BIOS. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (typically by pressing F2, F10, or Esc during startup).
  • Check if there is an option related to the camera and make sure it is enabled.

I hope this helps.
