I want to use a 2 in 1 or touch screen laptop to project real time daiagrams / drawing in a classroom setting. So thnk powerpoint slides, switch to drawing mode and sketch out diagram, then back to powerpoint (or better yet draw diagram in blank PP page. Can it be done and if so what suggestions for models.
For other work I would (Photoshop elements) and some other equipment software likely get at least 8 GB ram more likely 16gb, and a 256 ssd running W10
I would like an HDMI out port for the projector to avoid a dongle and at least 2 USB ports. Ideally the pen would work well and be easy to store on board. Looking at the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 - 14 but do not need always connected capability.
Any help would be appreciated

Firstly the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 laptops have:
(2) USB 3.1 Type-C with Thunderbolt support
(2) USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 charging)
(1) HDMI 1.4
(1) External micro SIM for WWAN
(1) AC power
(1) Headphone/microphone combo jack
Looks like they meet your need interms of ports.
Secondly for real time display, people do that on the times, all you need is to Duplicate display to projector (as second screen).
Thirdly for RAM, because Memory soldered down therefore you have to order the right one with right option because many laptops only have 8GB and if you wish you can order machine with 32GB of RAM
and for storage, you can pick the following options
Note: In short, the middle to high end 840 G5 laptops are the right choice. Not all options are available at the same time therefore you have to watch carefully before go out nd buy.
Regards.
