Hello.

Only touch screens are specificed for the X360 laptop due to the form factor.

The display is expensive because HP requires replacing the whole display assembly which includes the camera, microphone and WLAN antennas. HP is not selling the display panel separately.

You can downgrade your current display at this point, however.

The panel is available in three different brightness level and also with a standard or IR camera for Windows Hello. Choose a dimmer display and/or standard webcam to save some money.

The Maintenance and Service Guide for your laptop includes the list of all display assemblies:

Display assembly, 250 nits, with HD camera M46285-001
Display assembly, 250 nits, with HD + IR camera M46286-001
Display assembly, 400 nits, with HD camera M46287-001
Display assembly, 400 nits, with HD + IR camera M46288-001
Display assembly, 1000 nits, with HD camera, privacy M46289-001
Display assembly, 1000 nits, with HD + IR camera, privacy M46290-001

You can search for these part numbers at HP spart part service, Amazon, eBay and other online bazaars.

The same guide also has instructions on how to replace the panel but if you have never serviced laptops before, I recommend not doing it yourself.
