Hi Folks,

Would a Dell Dock WD15 Model# K17A be compatible with a HP ZBook?  The Dell Dock has 180 Watts of power, however, should I be concerned with over-charging the PC?

I was able to successfully hook it to my laptop to the dock and it seemed to work, however, I wanted to ensure that I will not damage the ZBook.  Needed to use a Display Port to HDMI adapter to hook up to the Dell Dock and had no issues.

Regards,

tr

I don't know Dell docks but please check the following HP docks compatible list:

Hi there,

Thank you for the update.  The Dell Dock has a Thunderbolt input and when I plug it into the the HP ZBook all functionality seems to be working.   Do I have to worry about over-charging in practice?

The HP  G2 Thunderbolt Dock 120 Watts is working fine, however, the fan noise is sometimes annoying, a "low whirl hum" sound that is not loud but annoying.

Regards,

tr
