Product: Elitebook 840 G6
Operating System: Ubuntu LTS

I have the same problem described here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Brightness-keys-not-working-on...

Fn+F3, Fn+F4 and Fn+F8 still return the same keycode. (Mute/unmute microphone)

I am on the latest available bios version to date 2021.january.18 (updated via windows).

Please help with this issue.

On Windows, you don't need to gold Fn key. Hotkeys driver only works on Windows.
