Recently I've installed Windows 10 1809 on a 840 G5 but after enabling secure boot the laptop cannot start from the disk where Windows is installed.
Error: BootDevice not found
If I then disable secure boot and restart the machine it starts Windows from the disk without any problems. Disk check passes without any issues found.
From the boot menu I can see the disk but choosing it from there specifically doesn't change a thing, and I get the BootDevice not found again.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Thank you! Your comment put me on the right track.
The OS was installed in BIOS mode and not UEFI mode.
When I changed our deployment method it went as expected.
