I own a hp zbook studio x360 and recently when I was trying to charge it wouldn't.
When using a different chargers that are either the right voltage or less it the charging light flashes white for a little while then it disappears. I think the battery has blown but I don't know what to do. Or how I can fix the problem.

Hi @Jvn521 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ZBook Studio x360 is not charging and the charging light flashes briefly before going out, it could indicate a problem with the battery, charger, or internal components. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue
- Hard Reset (Power Cycle): This is the most critical first step for this specific symptom, as it forces a complete reset of the embedded controller (EC), which manages power and charging.Follow the below article for hard reset:
https://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/ish_1997208-1551050-16 - Update Latest BIOS/Firmware : The BIOS firmware contains the power management logic (including the EC firmware) that handles charger authentication and power negotiation. Here the latest firmware for zbook studio x360 G5
HP Firmware Pack (Q71) Version : 01.33.00 Rev.A
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp161501-162000/sp161774.exe
You can put serial nunber on hp website to find yourself the latest hp firmware driver

Battery Health Check:
- Use the HP Support Assistant software installed on your device to run a battery diagnostic test. This will help determine if the battery is functioning properly.
- If you do not have HP Support Assistant, you can download it from the below link :

-
Check Battery Health in Windows:
-
Open PowerShell (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
-
Type
powercfg /batteryreportand press Enter. -
This generates an HTML file. Open the file and check the Design Capacity versus the Full Charge Capacity. A significant drop indicates a failing battery that might be rejected by the charging controller.

Hope this helps resolve your issue.
