Dear HP,

We have been attempting to discuss a complaint with you and were of the belief that this had been recorded as such under case number: Edited.

it seems that this is a case with your tech team who are not being very helpful.

thus far, we have identified your London postal address and we will issue a county court classism unless you engage in meaningful dialog before the deadline: 21.01.2026 12noon.

to assist you we repeat our original message below:

Dear Oumaima Dafdouf,

I am startled that as a major global company that you would seek to argue against consumer regulations where you as the customer relations expert ought to be fully conversant.

I have attached x3 photographs of the HP ZBook depicting the detective keyboard, the actual key itself [front and back]; and a screen shot of your part’s devision that have the said keyboard instock for £29.99 plus postage.

As the Managing Director and senior counsel for Hind Court Chambers, if you seek to escalate this matter by stating incorrect facts, ignoring the rules you must follow, then be advised that this message given the simplistic nature of this matter will constitute the formal ‘letter before action’ and we will issue a county court claim against HP for a default judgement and recovery of the cost of the keyboard, postage and all issue fees; the case will no doubt be of interest to media watch dogs.

I would hope you will be sensible and send a replacement keyboard out without further delay, as you will be aware of the date of purchase and fact consumer rules require you to take responsibility for your products within the 6 year period.

You have 21 days to comply before proceedings are issued and for the avoidance of doubt by 12noon on 21st January 2026; we allow an addition period to cater for the BHL of New Years.

Kind regards

Peter Fox

Hello @Foxy540 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community. Thanks for sharing this.

I understand this has been frustrating, but we can’t progress legal or court related matters via a public thread.

If you want HP to properly review this as a formal complaint, the fastest way is to keep communication factual and move it to the correct escalation channel.

Please send the following in a private message (not posted publicly):

  • Case number
  • Device serial number and purchase date
  • Your contact email and phone
  • Photos already shared and a brief timeline of what happened

Once received, we’ll ensure it’s logged correctly and routed to the appropriate team for review.

For everyone’s safety and privacy, please avoid posting personal details, addresses, or legal threats publicly. We genuinely want this resolved, but it needs to be handled through the official complaint process.

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
