HP Recommended

HP EliteBook 840 G3 died when I attempted to link to a YouTube video.  Only way to reboot was to choose an earlier time spot.  Everything went fine.  I then attempted to go to the same website, and POW!  It started the same look, rainbow-ish wipe from right to left.  I immediately turned it off, and since then cannot even get in to make changes.  Tried to go to system restore point, won't go.  Tried rebooting from a Win 10 thumb drive... nothing!  What else can I do, before taking it to a technician?
