Pavilion X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to be able to configure my new Pavilion X360 2in1 Laptop to start up (by pushing the power button) when the screen is closed. I generally use it with a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse, so having to open the screen to power it up is a little goofy and I can't find documentation for configuring it to work like a mini-desktop computer.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Without Opening the LID to press the Power Button, it is not possible to Power ON the Notebook

Once it's Power ON and booted up, you can close the lid and use the external monitor. But for initial startup you need to open the lid press the Power Button

Thank you

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Solution Accepted" on this Post and it will also help other community members with similar issue.
