Disable Optane memory before resizing EFI partition

I have an HP Elite Dragonfly with windows 11. The EFT partition is 100 Mb that is too small and I need to increase the size. It seems that the only way to do that without loosing data is by using a third party tool. I hate the idea of reinstalling windows.
Most experts advise disabling Optane Memory before resizing the partitions. The confusing advise is how to disable Optane memory. Some advise using the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management application first and then disabling it in BIOS. Others advise to disable it only in BIOS.
1) Which of the two methods is correct?
2) Is there an official HP step by step guide on how to disable Optane memory and then how to enable it again.

Yes, there is an official HP document pertaining to installing, enabling and disabling the Intel Optane memory.

See the last two sections.

You disable the Intel Optane memory in the RST software before disabling it in the BIOS.

Unfortunately, that I do not know.

If you do a search, there is some info out there on the Intel support site that seems to indicate that you may have to but note that there needs to be some space left at the end of the drive.

Whatever you do, I suggest that you back up any files you don't want to lose onto a portable hard drive before resizing the partition.
