3005pr USB 3.0 Port Replicator & HP Probook 430 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have all the latest drivers, however when I attempt to use the 3005pr display dock with any USB 3 ports on my new notebook I get no display on my monitors, however if I daisy chain the dock connection through my keyboard USB 2 HUB it is able to display.

Please help.

Regards

Luca

Hello Luca

very strange. 3005pr has a  integrated displayLink graphics card. so to use the display , you must have the driver for 3005pr installed in Windows 10.

If I'm not wrong , latest version of such Port Replicator (Y4H06AA) could be connected even via USB-C using an "USB 3.0 to USB-C" adapter included in the box , thanks to an adapter (details http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04154411.pdf?ver=21).

In any case I have no idea why it works with USB 2.0 connection and doesn't with USB 3.0 connection. Very courious issue.

bye
