Let's start with the beginig , first of all i don't use a password on my laptop ever not even on bios or drives , windows, etc, after updating the bios on this machine i have noticed that if i take out the ssd and connect it to another pc i get prompted with a drivelock message and a password request, what passwords i really don't know, from my research i have noticed that after the bios update the drivelock setting in the bios was automatically enabled weird if you ask me without asking for permission, i have disabled this drivelock setting the laptop does not ask for a password when enabling or disabling it because i dont have one , but the drive is still locked if i take it outside the laptop, i also have a drive locked from a dead laptop and hp 820 g2 and i would love to reformat and use it again i dont care about the data, but HP customer support knows less than i can find from a simple search on google and they don't want to talk about this encrypted drives like it's some sort of mystery thing.
The problem here is that HP doesn't offer a solution for the people in my situation that dont need the data and they just need to re enable the drives to be able to use them in another environment.
