So, I bought a lighly used Elite x2 G1.

The pen didn't indicate anything when I tried to pair it (no pairing light and no reaction from the pen app).  So I changed the AAAA battery.  Still nothing.

So I looked for some documentation.  None anywhere.  But the little plastic sheet inside the pen that shows how the battery goes in seems to show that there are two tiny batteries in the plastic end cap?

Aha!  We use Bluetooth "add devices" - not the Wacom pen app.

Yes, I'll answer my own question.  Two 319 batteries in the cap.  Changed them (that's not easy).  And we still got nothing.

Followed the instructions for pairing and nada.  No indication it is working.
