Hello guys, just to update that user "elitebook" at Tom's Guide (here) found that disabling the dedicated graphics card (Nvidia Quadro 3000M) solved this issue. Thanks!

Hello guys, i'm having the same issues mentioned by the user "Zappazapper" here and here. Basically, the laptop functions fine when powered by the battery (starts ok, works fine). But when plugged in to the utility, after a while it randomly shuts off (after starting a program installation, opening chrome, or simply by itself while doing nothing). In reality it restart but doesn't start unless unplugged (red wifi and hard drive LEDs, and flashing power and number lock, which indicates a "minor error"). Not even boot image/HP logo. After unplugging, it starts and you can plug it in but then happens again. The issue has been getting worse with time, like a year ago was like once per week, then sooner, now is like every 20 minutes.
One way of using it would be to just use it with battery and turn it off to charge it, but with a 40 mins aprox. battery life, this is not practical. I'd like to hear if someone has fixed this issue or similar. Looks like a short circuit / bad motherboard.
Tried 2 power bricks, plugged in without battery, with USB's/external monitor disconnected, maximum processor state/power at 50% to avoid high demand, two booting hard discs (SSD and HDD), HP Diagnostics (quick, not able to install UEFI) OK, and nothing.
Thanks for reading ✌️.
