Hi, recently I noticed my laptop battery drain is high. So I checked it at HP Support Assistant and it shows my battery "Normal" and Max Battery Capacity= 68% with 68 Cycle. It means it lost about 32% of original Capacity (51Wh) and now only has 35Wh of battery capacity.

I change the bios battery health settings to "Minimize Battery Health Management"

I even tried to test it from UEFI Diagnosis and all the same.

35Wh Max Capacity and 32% Wear

Ive had this laptop for a year and I barely used it. I didn't let the battery goes lower than 20% and stay in charge after battery reached 100%.

I'm wondering how it's possible to lose this much in only 68 cycles. I have no clue or any idea how to fix this issue.

Hi @alirezaR9

try to calibrate the battery, remember not only battery cycles can degrade a battery, but also the heat that the battery is subjected to over a long period of time.

i calibrated the battery, twice. but didnt fix the issue.

i used the laptop as office laptop and it didnt subjected to heat. mostly i use it at office and home and both places has A/C.

i carry older lenovo t495 for almost 3 years daily and it only has 5% wear on the battery. im truly disappointed with hp batteries.
