Microsoft Windows 11

Having an odd issue with my Elitebook, thought I had it solved with support via a firmware update but reappeared again today. Both A and C ports will not see a device unless I turn system off, hold down power button for ~30 seconds then restart. Even happens in the BIOS (IE bootable flash drives won't show up in UEFI boot menu). Happens with anything I've tried. Any Ideas? It is a great laptop otherwise but it is an very annoying issue. Thanks
