First and foremost, sorry for the lack of information. So i got an Elitebook (Unknown exact model but looks like Elitebook 850 G3) from a friend, he told me he rarely turns it on. When i got it i noticed that the laptop was getting power but the screen remains black and wont boot. Here's a few symptoms from my attempts at booting it up.....
1. At first was unable to get any power, attempted to hard reset by removing charger and any usb device and pressing the power button for 30s-1min, then i was able to at least get some light coming from the keyboard, power button and charging/hdd indicator. However the screen remains black even after waiting for a an hour.
2. There were no beep sounds but the caps lock had a 5 long white blink before the laptop restarts again while remaining in black screen.
3. I've tried reseating the single RAM inside but still no luck.
4. Tested the charger with a multimeter and its showing around 19V as stated at the charging brick.
Thanks in advance.
