BIOS version 01.09.00 Rev.A is out which specifically mentions:

 

 Fixes up an issue where HP Endpoint Security Controller Problem [0x6001] occurs during SCCM setup.

Since applying the latest bios I have not seen a single 6001 error,  looking good so far.

Sorry for my delay,

the fix was in 1.0.9.00 (sp139898.exe), released second week in May.  It’s now been superseded by 1.0.9.10
