EliteBook 850 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two dell monitors connected with a daisy chain and a mini display port. I have been using this setup with several other computers (LENOVO Thinkpad, Ideapad etc..) but I cannot get it to work with the EliteBook 850 G5 I5.

I am using the USB Type-C with Thunderbolt and an adapter going from USB-C to a mini dp port to one monitor that is connected to another monitor. This configuations works fine with all other computers with thunderbolt but not with my new HP. Anyone who can help me or tell why?

have you updated your bios. I have updated a few 840G5's and the second part ….after a really long off period updates the notebook for the TB dock and "c" port. also have you tried plugging in one DP cable per monitor.  do you have your notebook lid open or closed? also try for a test plug one monitor into the TB dock and another into the notebook DP port.  ALSO CHECK YOUR VIDEO DRIVER make sure it does not say generic vid driver in the device manager, just to be on the safe side redo your vid driver.  I have also noticed that from the 9480's , and 840Gx that sometimes the bios does not wake up or initialize the hardware correct. so go into the bios and load factory defaults. will not change your bios settings just refreshes the way the bios starts up. if there is a major hardware mismatch and you are using BIT Locker it will arm.
