A family friend purchased HP Notebook - 17z-ca000 CTO for me and then shipped it to my place in Pakistan. Astounded by how fragile the system was. It broke down completely twice and I had to repair the body substantially. Then, there was further damage. I logged onto the site and voila, the warranty has expired. Such a lousy plastic body this machine has. Very surprised that such an established brand could sell such an item.
Any idea of how to get this fixed guys?

@FaizanFarooque Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the laptop is damaged.
In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.
Or you can contact the local service center for repair.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Hey there, I have already contacted support. They say the only way they can fix the laptop is if I send it back. Having purchased it for 500 plus USD, I can now get it fixed bu giving 275 dollars, which is exorbitant by my standards. Also, please note that a replacement case is for 150 USD. Do you guys have any place I could buy the outer case elsewhere? eBay perhaps.
