Due to a company acquisition (about 18 months ago) have come into possession of two EliteBook 840 devices in excellent condition which the current company does not want to take possession as they were not inventoried in the original acquistion (very large corporation).
My goal was to factory reset the devices and provide to an inner city non profit organization for use as opposed to disposition. The former admin personnel cannot be reached and I cannot get past the admin login prompt to initiate a reset. I am able to navigate to the restore menu option (pre windows) which prompts for restore disks that I do not have nor do the devices contain disk drives. Is it possible to factory reset these devices so they can be repurposed or should they be destroyed.
Thanks Steve

First. You can also do a clean install Windows using
Windows 10: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
Windows 11: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
Regards.
