HP ZBook 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I got a HP ZBook 14 as a gift and I found out it doesn't have a finger print module, I did check in our local service center here in the Philippines and somehow they don't have the parts nor they know how to work it out (which is very weird), anyways I found a finger print module in ebay and would like to know if how I can determine if its possible to make this work with my current movo?

as per CPU-Z, I'm using a model "198F" if that helps.

Thank you.

Hi,

Older generation (ie G1) laptops use same part # which is  730956-001.  You can buy from

         https://www.amazon.com/HP-730956-001-Fingerprint-reader-assembly/dp/B00IY19Q9I

Yes, you can use it on your machine.

Regards.

Hi,

Finger print reader is optional, please try part number on page 40 of the following manual

     http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04560057.pdf

You may need part    as mentioned on the following part list:

      http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=E2P25AV

(Please bookmark the link for future referrences)

Page 96 of the manual shows you how to install/replace it. You need right driver and software for it to work.
