HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 PC IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought the USB-C docking station specifically to run the two monitors I have, but they don't operate. I've already tried to find the solution with no luck. This is a laptop 15t-dy200. Any advice for me?

Your machine could be one of the following machines

                 https://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/hp-laptop-pc-15-dy2000/35900328/model/38752859/product-info

For example    HP Laptop 15-dy2093dx.

It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

     Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,

Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                    USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.

Spoiler
So, if I understand what you are telling me, I CAN'T use the USB-C port with my HP Laptop 15-dy2000 with the two monitors I was planning to use? You've provided several items I'm to check out (which I have) which are useless for me. What are they telling me? I think they are telling me to spend more money. Also, the sound  on my laptop cuts out when I plug in the USB-C docking device. Why is this?

I just want the answer to my original question, can I use the USB-C docking station with my two 1920 x 1080 VGA (I think it's VGA) monitors? Yes or no.
