Hello
I have a new laptop HP fury 16 G9 and from the beginning since turn the laptop on is fan running constantly. Sometimes stop for a while but immediately starts again running. Even though there is no any application open. CPU up to 5% GPU up to 10%.
I have tried to download HP command center sw but did not find it on HP webpages. Laptop is top product line and this permanent noise significantly affect my satisfaction with HP and it is hard to work with. Any idea how to fix this?
Thank you

That's a really nice laptop. I just bought one for a client!
I know there is a BIOS update, try that first.
I know I'll get many people disagreeing with me, but I ALWAYS wipe out every computer I sell. I don't like all the crapware and useless apps that come preinstalled (Xbox, Spotify, Phone, Microsoft Maps, etc.), plus I don't use Wolf Security.
I have boot USB key (use RUFUS) and I wipe out everything. I then partition the hard drive (C: Windows, 😧 Data, E: utilities)

There is usually a BIOS setting to control the speed of the fan. Check that it isn't set to 'always running' (or wording similar).
Even when companies say to not change anything, one can create a bootable USB key and reboot into that environment.
Even a simple Windows 10/11 install media can be used, just boot from it and see how the fan performs. DO NOT continue to reinstall Windows 🙂
Or you can create a Linux "Live" distro to check the hardware. That will boot and run from the USB key and won't impact your company's configuration, but you could then test the hardware and see how the fan performs
