I have an old HP Elite Book 840. There is no suffix to the model number as there is with the current ones. There are no files I want to preserve - I just want to install a clean OS and use it. When the HP logo appears it says on the lower left of the screen to hit ESC to enter setup. I presume this means hit the escape key so I can get a choice to re-install the OS from the hidden hard disk partition.. But hitting the escape key several times, or holding it down from the time I turn it on, doesn't change anything. It just goes to Windows login. Any ideas?
