- would need some help to rid myself of the yellow tint?

I've tried a lot already myself through Ggl search results, but I must admit that what I found there is beyond my capacity, or willingness to take risks.

The one thing that I did do, but without convincing result, was updating the DisplayLink Graphic Driver (under Driver-Graphics) according to
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-probook-440-g4-notebook-pc/10477248

Would someone be able and willing to guide me through the maze?

NB: Due to unfavourable experience made (can't explain, just a feeling), I do not wish to use the official HP 'automated tool'

Hello.

Is the yellow tint visible also on the HP logo, BIOS settings or Diagnostics screen?

DisplayLink drivers are only necessary for specific external DisplayLink displays and will not affect your laptop display at all.

You have either Nvidia or Intel graphics in your computer. Run the control panel software for either and try calibrating the colors. You can also try the Windows internal calibration in Settings > Display > Calibrate display color.

Thanks a lot! Actually, I found  this tip earlier today already myself, but I dared not apply it because it was not directed to me. Now with your personal endorsement, I went back and hit the button in the Intel CP - and I would say, the colours appear normal again
