so i wanted to buy and connect a external monitor for gaming at higher refresh rate i think my laptop has hdmi 2.0b 
but its capped at 60 is there any way to get higher refersh rate through type c hubs or anything.

it has a quadro t2000 for discrete graphics on the hdmi port

That depends on the monitor's resolution. At 4K, it is 60 Hz, but if you use a lower resolution, for example 1920x1080, you can use 240 Hz.

i was planning to use this monitor,
MAG 255F E20 MSI Gaming Monitor – 24.5-inch, Full HD 1920x1080, 200Hz, Rapid IPS, 0.5ms GTG, FreeSync Premium, HDR Ready.
I guess it will work fine
