ZBook 15 portable work station
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Can the HP ZBook (HP 2012 230W) Docking Station be connected via a dual-link DVI cable to the HP LP3065 30" 2560x1600 display?
I can only get half of the spec resolution (as if it was a single-link DVI cable), and I am womdering if it is due to the Docking DVI output spec, not capable to deliver WQXGA resolution

You open another post. From the following specs

    https://cdn.cnetcontent.com/77/5b/775b221f-841b-4079-bda0-8b2a32f81719.pdf

Port 6 on page 3 only support 1280 x 800 when it is connected to one port of your monitor (refer to my previuos reply).

Yes, that's my docking (the one on page 3). But then I do not understand how must I connect to the display.

Shall I use a special cable? Dual-link DVI cable is not working properly when I thought the docking should provide the 2560x1600 via DVI.

On the Advanced Docking Station (page 7) DVI and DP are shared, as explained in page 8, therefore the DVI should accept the 2560x1600 resolution, shouldn't it?

Shall I use another port?

Thanks for your patience!

You are right! See below:

SOLVED!!  Smiley Happy

I have finally managed to get to the native resolution:

I am using the following adapter:
Display Port to DVI Dual Link Active Adapter Converter, powered by USB, that supports resolutions up to 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz, from "Club 3D B.V." :

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B005IKC2VC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And then a Dual Link DVI 24+1 cable, as it's the only input accepted by the LP3065:

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00JKHMF9S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The cost for the first one was 120€, the DVI -DVI costs less than 8€

It works both from the PC DisplayPort and from the Docking Station.

Thanks to all who tried to help!
