New HP 445 G10, 500GB HD, IT dept provides this laptop with a new Dell WD19, all dell dock drivers installed initially the notebook works with two monitors, ethernet, mouse and KB, then after a day or so various failures, monitors dont work, ethernet port no longer works thru the dock port, updated BIOS and windows updates installed. Has happened to other usrs that the Ethernet port fails to work via the dock, updated port settings in BIOS, reset the Dell WD19 dock, still refuses to work.

Please ask your IT Department. Did they ACTUALLY test notebooks and docks. Otherwise they did NOT do their job properly.
Regards.

Thanks for the reply, both myself IT tech and a senior tech worked on the issues. It's not the first time this has happened. The notebook is new and imaged, drivers, bios and windows all updated, the Dell WD19 firmware is updated and tested prior to deployment. We replaced the Dell Dock updated the firmware on it and all is working two monitors, kb, mouse. The ethernet does not transmit to the notebook from the dock to c connector into the notebook. Network was also reset, ethernet was removed from device manager and still fails to work via the dock. The variable is using two difference products HP and Dell.
The agency using Trellix, formerly McAfee encryption software. One web search indicated a possible cause is the security.
Another possible cause is the HP usC can not support multiple ports.
The only workaround is the user must plug the ethernet cable directly into the notebook
