The fan displays the following behaviour:
In some load scenarios, the fan spins up in very short bursts just to return to its previous, constant speed right after. It can happen not only once, but many times in a row over a period of a minute or a few minutes.
When spinning up quickly, the fan makes this squeaky "pew" sound (which hardware-wise seems to be normal)
The issue is: It's super annoying when it happens a few times in a row and your notebook starts making this "pew - pew - pew - pew" sound like it's shooting tiny laser cannons.
I use the latest BIOS version 01.05.04 Rev.A. Please fix this in an upcoming BIOS release.
Thanks! Best regards,
Pawel Osiak
Edit: There is no additional, third-party software installed which would tamper with the fan-speed.

Is that software from HP ? If not, I don't think HP would support that.
Regards.

Which software?
The issue is with the fan speed.
Edit: If you ask if I use a third-party software to override the fan speed then: No, I don't use any.
The issue seems to be with the "internal"/"proprietery" fan speed control which from what I reckon is implemented in the BIOS.

@Banhien
What is the status of that issue now that we established it's an HP related problem?
The fan speed issue still persits, even after I've updated BIOS to the very latest version which currently is 01.05.11 Rev.A which came out after my initial post.
