HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G10 Notebook PC (736H9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

Elitebook 640 G10 Windows 11 - 64bit 22H2 - HP Client Security Manager shows this error when I try to add a fingerprint (as you can see on the picture. The picture has also been translated, as I run the app in Czech). This is on a freshly bought and installed Notebook. This same issue is also going on for 3 of our other Notebooks of the same model though.

When I click off it, it just pops up again repeatedly, every second, until I get off the Fingerprint menu.
Also one thing to note -  I can see the Biometric device driver in the Device manager just fine and
the fingerprint sensor works fine for Windows Hello too. This is only an issue with HP CSM. Therefore I'm assuming it's not a driver issue.

I'll list the things I've tried doing to resolve this, but none of them have worked so far:

Restarting the notebook
Both manually and "automatically" reinstalling the fingerprint driver (from the support.hp.com website)
Trying a different version of Client Security Manager
Checking the TPM version, it is 2.0
Both reinstalling and repairing HP Device Security Manager
Checked and installed both Windows updates and the Optional updates
Fingerprint sensor is BIOS is turned on, also tried Fingerprint reset on reboot

Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.

What version of the HP Client Security Manager are you using, and are you certain it is still supported in Windows 11?
