HP ZBook Firefly 15 G7 Mobile Workstation

I did a HP Firmware update on 15/05/23 it was something to do with the Bios.

 

after this the power on authenticaton fingerprint  part of HP Client Security stopped working, i spoke to HP on the phone for around 6 hours; disgusting really.  They tried a number of steps including updating my laptop from their own website, rolling back bios and updating a newer version etc and end up wiping my laptop entirely the issue stil exists.  

 

This **bleep** update has interfered with the software it wasn't anything i had done when i'm logged in the fingerprint works fine within the HP Client Secuirty app perfectly fine.

 

HP needs to take responsibiltiy for this mess!!

 

Can anyone here help me with this issue, i've seen other similar posted then locked here before which is shocking as the people on the phone have little knowledge on this software which i find strange they even asked me to pay for the board to be replaced which i was disgusted with despite paying for extended warranty which is still valid. 

 

 I' ve been on the phone again this morning to deal with this as i was given a telephone number by the person on monday which is nothing to do with HP.  I may put in a complaint as i recorded the calls.

 

I don't doubt that some of the staff they use in their Indian site are good at what they do but there are others that do not care about the time wasted, when it was clearly pointed out this was to do with the app installed on the laptop that links into the bios. 

 

In any case my issue needs escalation; i'm waiting on a call back from a team called Incubation, i'll see if I get any further.

 

I had looked into installing a more up to date version of this app with the person on the phone i did install it but the app was blank i tried uninstalling the orignal app it had an option to repair he said to delete it i wasn't happy with doing so despite the option being there so we didn't do anything further.  I think all this needs is for that piece of software to be reinstalled and it would be ok again as the rest of it works fine.

 

I had a similar issue when HP Wolf Security updated last year it worked find along side my actual anti virus app for 2 years until they updated it to provide full anti virus features which conflicted with my own i had to speak to a department that dealt with Wolf Security to get it to be removed as it caused issues that i couldn't deal with on my own.

 

Again this fully lies at HP Door for this mess!

 

I hope someone can offer any insight into this?

 

Please be clear that i want to keep this app; i have no intention of deleting it.
