Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need to install Windows 10 on a new ZBook Studio 16" that came with Windows 11.

I do not have the laptop in hand, long story I'm not going to get into. Running the Cloud Recovery on another PC I am quickly prompted for a serial number. Is entering the serial the only way to A: get passed this dialog, B: to get the proper install media for the hardware? Or is waiting to do this recovery/installation disk creation until I have the laptop in hand my only option??

Entering the serial during install makes sense if need be. An arbitrary impediment to creating recovery media is annoying officious, bureaucratic nonsense. It's great to be able to use a serial to automatically get the correct installer, but you shouldn't HAVE to enter a serial number to get the right one if you know the model and options it came with.

Hello.

From what I have used the software, as long as you enter any valid HP laptop serial number, it allows you to select the laptop model from the drop down menu... (my 10-year-old-unsupported-by-the-recovery-tool-Zbook serial number was accepted)
