HP Dragonfly 13.5 inch G4 Notebook PC (6Q257AV)

Hello,

I have purchased a new very expensive HP Dragonfly G4 i7 1355u  laptop.

the battery drains so fast NOT reaching even close to the 14, 12, 10 hours reported in the reviews i have read.

more close to about, maybe, 4-5 hours.

i don't open applications nor many tabs and i keep the screen brightness at about 50%.

i am browsing the internet.

i barely used it. hoping that it would get better but, it didn't.

LONG BATTERY LIFE WAS MY PRIMARY CONSIDERATION IN PURCHASING A HIGH END BUSINESS LAPTOP.

YOU CAN'T IMAGINE MY DISAPPOINTMENT

BR,

David

When you click to shutdown the system, please ensure that it is shutdown and not sleeping.  If sleeping and not plugged in then your battery will run down.  For example, the plan below will never turn off the laptop.

Another possibility is the power plan.  Please ensure that the power plan minimum is %5.  You might also change the maximum processor speed to %99 which keeps the CPU out of turbo mode.  This can make a difference in laptop life as well as battery life as being stuck in turbo mode can overheat the laptop.

Enter the phrase edit power plan in the window search box
Then select the 'Advanced' tab

To keep the CPU from overheating , consider
using %99 instead of %100.
