Hi all,
I'm experiencing an issue with my HP E34m G4 monitor connected via USB-C to my HP ZBook (13th gen, Intel Core i7-13580HX). Both the monitor and the laptop are plugged into separate power outlets directly (not via splitter), and all drivers and firmware are up to date as per HP Support Assistant.
Issue:
MOnitor is working, built-in camera is working but When I play audio through the monitor built-in speakers, the sound randomly cuts out after 10 to 60 seconds. The audio then switches to the laptop's speakers. A few seconds later, it reconnects to the monitor again. This can happen multiple times in a row.
Additional Notes:
Picture remains on the monitor, only audio is affected.
when I try switching the USB-C port on the laptop, only audio is transmitted; video and camera do not work through the second port.
I have already tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the monitor driver.
Setting the monitor as default playback device.
- if i use HDMI - camera and microfon is not working (and usb slots on monitor - but less important)
I cannot modify advanced system settings due to company laptop restrictions.
- at the moment I do not have second laptop with usb-c to test if its up to the laptop.
Is this a known issue with the HP E34m G4 or related to USB-C compatibility on ZBooks? Any help would be appreciated.
