Product: HP ENVY - 17t-ae100 CTO

I recently purchased a "Plugable" USB-C Multiport docking station. The hub functions as intended except for charging my HP ENVY Laptop -17t-ae100 CTO.  The docking station powers everything else just fine. Can you confirm that my Envy, as configured, does not accept power from the USB-C port?  If that answer to that question is yes, can I have the USB-C port on my ENVY upgraded to support charging?  If so, can you please provide detailed instructions on how/what exactly I would need to purchase in order for a qualified technical to install.

Hi,

It does not support charging via USB-C (page 3 of the service manual)

You can not upgrade the port as all is integrated on the motherboard.
